If you think TumbleBooks is old news, think again! We have expanded our subscription to include a section of graphic novels, especially geared for 3rd grade and up.
You can check it out here.
Students in 1st - 4th grade will be participating in Upstart's Vote for Books promotion starting on their first class visit of the year. Some of the book nominees will be read to the students and there will be related activities right up to election time. The complete list of nominees can be found and
up-to-the-minute information will be posted here.
4th-8th grade readers will once again be given the opportunity to vote for the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award in February, 2013. Although the activities won't begin until late January, LME already has 2 hard copies of each title on the list, plus several are also available in e-book on ADML and CD. Attached you will find the 2013 master list. Please encourage your students to start reading from the list now so more will be eligible to vote in February. To be eligible to vote for the statewide winner, students need only to have read 3 titles on the list.

MAG Monday returns!!
Starting in September, MAG Monday returns for 6th-12th graders. MAG is a place where the kids come play video games, use laptops, eat snacks and just get to relax and hang with their friends. MAG will meet immediately after school until 4:45 PM, on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.
*Note: MAG will not meet when school is not in session. In the event something else interferes with the regular schedule, MAG may be rescheduled.
